“I should never have asked for a night with you. This would never have happened if I’d had more willpower.”

A thief met a possession and did what he did best. Now, he has to live with the consequences. Including the girl he claimed.

Pimlico was stolen and sold all before her twenty-first birthday. Two years with a master who almost killed her is over. She has a new master now. A master who demands everything, expects everything, and requires ultimate access to her mind.

Elder broke countless rules when he took the girl who wasn’t his. She confuses and bewitches him, but his fascination won’t save her from his desires.

He wants to know her. She wants to forget. Together…they’re doomed.

Pimlico: Once upon a time, I was a mute captive who wished for death.
Now, I’m stowed away on a yacht.
Saved and taken, the thief who stole me demands my voice, my past, my everything.
I won’t give in.
But Elder refuses to take no for an answer.
He pushes and cajoles, slowly discovering who I am. Until I find out he plays the cello to escape his demons, all while his music conjures mine.
He’s rich, I’m bankrupt.
I’m mute by choice, he’s curious by nature.
So many reasons why we can never work.
But that doesn’t stop our connection, our passion.
Until one night, he ruins everything.

Review –

I loved the little tidbits of Elder’s past that were revealed in this installment of the series, Dollar. He remains in large part a mystery, but slowly pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. I look forward to knowing what brought him to where he is at today. He’s not all bad, but not good either, and the struggle between both is a constant internal war within him.

As for Pim, her strength through adversity is compelling. I can’t wait for the connection between her and Elder to be explored more fully. The way he has of reading her is so intriguing. But even as she escapes one prison, she is still a victim of her conditioning. Will she ever be able to act and be viewed as a normal young woman? only time will tell. Just when I think she may be giving in a little something happens to draw her back into herself.

Prepare yourself for another jaw-dropping ending. I want nothing more than for Pim to be whole again, and for these two to find their HEA together. Unfortunately, they both will have to face down their past before that can happen. I look forward to the next three books, and seeing where this roller coaster ride ends up.

Be warned that there are many triggers in this book.

Wrong (Wrong #1) by L.P. Lovell and Stevie J. Cole

Book Description:

Published: June 2, 2016

My life was mapped out and planned to perfection. I knew exactly what I wanted and where I was going, until I was thrust into his world and ripped from mine. In the blink of an eye everything shattered, proving to be nothing more than a cheap illusion. Now I’m living in this twisted form of hell, where enemies and friends are one and the same. I thought I wanted perfection. Now I don’t know what I want – perhaps not even my own freedom.

I’m the definition of wrong. I’m violent, I’m greedy, and I stop at nothing to win. I’m a notorious bookie and in my game paying with your life is not just a figure of speech. You lose, I collect. I take whatever you have. She’s collateral for a debt, and if that debt’s not paid someone will die. This should be just business, so why can’t I kill her?
Everything is not always as it seems.

Lust. Blood. Lies.

Nothing this wrong should feel so right.

Review –

This is the darkest erotic romance that I have read since Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas in May of last year, but, that being said, I as a reader felt sorrow for Jude. If it hadn’t been for his father he life would have been totally different. He had a degree from a prestigious university and a yearning for a safe, sane, normal life. But that wasn’t to be. So, here he is, a bookie without a soul who  would sooner kill you than look at you, except when it came to Tor.

Tor was on her way to becoming a doctor and was in love with her boyfriend until one day he couldn’t pay his debt to a bookie and he offered her as collateral. She couldn’t believe it. Her boyfriend offered her up like it was nothing. How could he? (We find out later that his uncle, Joe Campbell, has a violent history with Jude’s father and now Jude. He hoping while Tor is there she can “get the goods” on Jude. But it doesn’t work that way. Not by a long shot!)

Although, Jude tries to break her in every way imaginable, he can’t bring himself to kill her, even though he knows he can never let her go. She knows too much about him and his operation BUT against all odds he has developed deep feelings for her and so decides to let her goto keep her safe.  He can’t stand the thought of her leaving, their sex is flaming hot, but if he lets her stay she would be in constant danger. He gives her papers for a new identity and a plane ticket for London. It is for the best.

Tor arrives at the airport on the first leg of her journey and is kidnapped by none other than the infamous Joe Campbell and he intends to f*ck her up good!

Talk about cliffhanger!!!!

Adult, hot and dark.

Crash by Drew Jordan

Book Description:

Published: October 31, 2015

This is a dark, erotic thriller intended for mature audiences. Not a traditional romance, but a love story with a twist, this is book one in a three part series.

The greatest love stories begin with blood…

There is blood. There is pain. And there is him. These are the first things I register when I wake up, the lone survivor in an Alaskan plane crash. He carries me to safety over rough terrain and brings me to his cabin in the woods. He has no name. Or none he will tell me.

As snow creeps across the harsh and isolated landscape, he is my only company. My protector, my caretaker. A fascinating enigma, with mysterious eyes, gentle hands, and a rough voice that demands more from me than I ever expected to give. I make up different stories, different names for him depending on his mood, because I know nothing about him except that he is my only connection to the real world I want to return to. So I work to please him, plotting my escape, yet all the while I start to crave him and every touch of his dominating body.

He has saved me from the cold. From death. But in taking me and my body, will he destroy me?

Part one of this book was offered free but the ending left me hanging so I HAD to buy the full book to find out what happened and it was money well spent.

There is a plane crash in remote Alaska and Laney is the sole survivor and saved by a rugged mountain man, whose name we never learn. I’m still uncertain if the pilot was too injured to save or the “no name” just left him there to die and saved the pretty girl.  I think he let him die.

He takes Laney to his cabin, which is just a bare bones building, nothing fancy. At first he appears to be a good guy that was in the right place at the right time to save her but as the days go by we discover that maybe that’s not the case and he wants only one thing from her-sexual gratification. Laney ponders this too and is afraid of him but realizes he DID save her so why would he want to hurt her now. He won’t tell her his name or how long he’s been there or why he’s there. Once when he’s out hunting she discovered a newspaper clipping about a dead girl and we later surmise that “no more” might have drown her, but that’s not made clear.

He tells Laney that she must obey him in every regard and if she doesn’t she will be punished and he keeps his word-once by making her stay outside in the freezing cold to fend for herself because she tried to leave.  But on the flip side, he can be gentle and makes love to her and other times he likes to tie her wrists to the headboard with rough rope, somethings ties her wrists behind her back or over a ceiling beam. He likes rope! He uses gentle threats to make her obey and she does. “No name” tells her that he loves her and will take care of her and never wants her to leave.

After building trust between them he lets her go into town with him for supplies and who should they run into but an old friend, Michael, that she had been planning to meet up with. Michael is shocked to see her because everything thought she had wandered away from the plane and died and been eaten by carrion.  He wants to take her back to Seattle with him so a doctor can check her out, but “no name” suggests Michael come back to the cabin with them and get an early start the next day.  At that point bells are going off in my head and I’m saying, DON’T GO-CAN’T YOU SEE IT’S A TRAP!, but Michael goes back with them and he and “no name” have a frank discussion about Laney, in which he tells him that she’s has a very disturbing past. Her step-father sexually abused her to the point of getting her pregnant at the age of sixteen. He’s in prison now but she still loves him(no one knows this)She doe not have custody of her daughter now and her mother, Victoria, is a mess and on top of everything else, Michael says Laney gets easily attached to any man who is kind to her. “No name” asks Michael what his plans are for Laney and he says he plans to marry her.

Laney overhears their conversation and wants to go back with Michael and at the same time doesn’t. She wants “no name” to ask her to stay but know that he won’t because he wants her to stay on her own.

The time comes for them to leave and Michael sees the cuts and bruises on her body and says he is going to call the police and tell them all about the way her “rescuer” has treated her. Laney knows cell phones don’t work in the remote woods where the cabin is located but know that it will once they reach town. What she does next left me with my mouth hanging open. I won’t say what it was but I can’t wait for book two to find out what happens next.  Great twist and totally unexpected.
