He’s a mystery. An enigma.

His very identity is a secret buried beneath layers of deception.

He’s also an addiction I can’t shake. An attraction I can’t fight.

And then I found out exactly who he is—a man more dangerous than the devil himself.

Now I need him in order to save everything that matters to me.

I have to pull back. Protect myself from the danger that haunts his every step.

Which would be easy . . . if I could stop myself from falling in love with him.

Review –

This book starts where Savage Prince left off. Kane admits that he took out the hit on Temperance’s brother for thirty days so that no one else would.

Her brother has double-crossed the wrong people for a good reason or a bad reason, no one knows, because he can’t be found.

Mount (a criminal kingpin who has his own series) has instructed Kane to protect Temperance so the bad guys can’t get to her.

There is MUCH less sex in this installment of the Savage series but it is still over the top steamy!

At the end Kane has driven Temperance, dressed as Mount’s wife, to a private airport, to meet her brother (I guess someone located him along the way) dressed as Mount and after boarding a plane, they will both go into hiding.

BUT, they never get on the plane, because when Kane sees her brother coming toward them, he shoots him dead. END.

OMG!!!!!

Can’t wait to listen to the last installment but I am putting it off for a while because I don’t want the experience to end. Some of you will understand this while others won’t, and that okay.

Claim Me (Brie’s Submission #9) by Red Phoenix

Book Description:

Published: September 12, 2016

Format: Audio/Audible

Fairy tales come true…

Brie Bennett’s Master is about to make all of her dreams come true. The wedding is almost here but darkness lies ahead—a plot so horrendous it will rock their foundation to the core.

Yet love as fierce and passionate as theirs cannot be denied. Join our favorite submissive as she discovers the romance that awaits when an Italian Dom plans the wedding of the century for his cherished bride.

Review –

I also read numbers seven and eight of this series and enjoyed them, but this one has been my least favorite of the series so far.

There was just too much “lovey dovey” and everything coming up roses because of the fairy-tale-like wedding and honeymoon, until the  end and then we were back to fictional reality.

The next book, Enchant Me, is about the honeymoon and getting Brie pregnant (which does happen) and ends with  a great cliffhanger.

The next two books deal with Master Brad Anderson and Tono and we learn some of their background  and their quests to find their soulmates.

I’m just about to finish up  A Cowboy’s Heart, which deals with Sir Brad Anderson and will report on it shortly.

Asunder (Iron Bulls MC #1) by Phoenyx Slaughter

Karina:
For most of my life I thought Logan and I were meant to be together. We grew up next door to each other. Neither of us had happy homes, but together we found a sort of peace. He was only three years older than me, but when you’re a child, that’s a lot. I looked up to him. Loved him with everything I had.

He kept me safe. Protected me. Eventually I gave him everything. My heart, my love, my virginity. He disappeared without a word. When I finally found him, he said I couldn’t be part of his life anymore.
He broke my heart.

Then I met Dante, and the perfect plan to get even with Logan began to form in my mind. Dante is older, dark, dangerous, and the Sargent-at-Arms of the Iron Bulls MC. The same MC Logan joined when he left me.

Dante:
Karina Rivers was supposed to be a one-time afternoon distraction. I’m way too old and twisted for someone as innocent as her.
I want her anyway. She doesn’t realize she has the power to tear this MC apart.

Review –

I love a good MC contemporary romance and the author, Phoenyx Slaughter, really delivers in this book.

Karina is more than a little upset with Logan for breaking up with her the way he did so she has a scheme to make him jealous. She plans to hook up with Dante, a much older and rougher man in the same motorcycle club as Logan.

She doesn’t have long to wait because Logan walks in on her and Dante in a very compromising situation that has to deal with a pool table in the MC clubhouse. Logan doesn’t give her the huge jealous reaction she was looking for, instead, he just seemed concerned that she was there, period!

What started out as a scheme to make Logan jealous has become secondary once she gets to know thirty-four year old Dante and soon he feels more for Karina than just a casual lay. Soon she’s living with Dante.

They have a very unique but strange (she calls him “Daddy”, which makes me cringe ever time she does) relationship and he’s very protective of her and wants what’s best for her.

All this time Logan is seething and finally kidnaps Karina but she calls Dante but it goes straight to  voicemail. Will he be able to get to her in time?  END   Talk about a cliffhanger, so naturally I had to buy the next in the series and will report on it later.
