The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.
All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love’s death. She doesn’t believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.
This was one of the books that I was waiting for with bated breath and i can’t believe that it was so anticlimactic!!
The other three books in The Raven Cycle had been building up the anticipation with each chapter and to have it end the way it did I felt that the author had let me down, big time. I had become so invested in the Raven Boys, Adam, Gansey, Ronan and Blue, the girl who held them all together. While the book was entertaining with its robot bees, real wasps, a cloven footed dream girl, a powerful demon, tree spirits, fast cars and a couple of highly anticipated kisses, the ending leaves as many questions to be answered as we started with. I was so shocked when the last page came and thought, “surely that can’t be all there is”, but it was. Too bad the author felt she needed to leave every reader in limbo.
