Rebecca finally starts with her six months trial as the personal assistant for the notorious playboy Nicholas StoneHaven. This book starts from where Bound to You Volume 1 ends. Rebecca is now working with Nicholas on a daily basis and it’s harder that she thought. He’s the last man on earth that she’d find herself pinning for. And Nicholas isn’t going to make it easy for her. At first he gives her all sorts of petty jobs to do for him, like picking up his dry cleaning and getting him a coffee at a far away coffee shop, so she would give up and quit.
Nicholas is forced to become engaged to Alison against his best judgement, and start planning the wedding. But his father is insisting because it will be good for business. He gives Nicholas a choice -marry her or lose everything.
But can Nick resist his own personal assistant, Rebecca?
The answer, simply, is NO!
No matter how Nicholas tries to avoid Rebecca or push her away, he finds himself drawn to her. Rebecca is having the same dilemma and she knows that hooking up with the owner’s son could cost her job, but they always seem to end up together
They attend a charity function together and end up out on a balcony, even though it’s freezing outside,(neither noticed) and have hot steamy sex. Another time they have hotter sex in his office on a work day and she has to hide under his desk to keep from being discovered when he father walks in.
She tries dating someone from work but her heart isn’t it.
At a club, Nicholas’s best friend kisses Rebecca hotly knowing that Nicholas is watching to provoke him into admitting that he has serious feelings for her. Nicholas becomes livid and punches Tristan in the face. By this time Rebecca just wants to get out of there, so she goes out into the rain and Nicholas comes after her, hails a cab, and takes her to her apartment. Once there he kisses her goodnight at the front entrance and leaves. While Rebecca is making her way to her apartment she hears a familiar voice and turns to see the one person she never thought she’d see again. MILE STORM! End.
I Love this series because as HOT as it is the author adds humor to the mix and makes the characters real, not just words on a page.
I’ve read the next book and will report on it soon.
