Review –

Good story line about  a woman trying to hide from an abusive boyfriend and a father she thought didn’t love her. She  takes a job as a stripper in a seedy club and one night a dark and dangerous man asks her for a private session. She’s warned to stay away from him but can’t. Something is drawing her to him.  Later she finds out he was hired by her ex-boyfriend to find her and bring her back. He said he almost did but then he fell in love with her. All of this revolves around numerous explicit sex scene that are very HOT.

The Summer I Turned Pretty (Summer #1) by Jenny Han

Book Description:

Published: January 1, 2009

Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer–they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

Review –

Five stars *****

OMG!!!!!!   This book is amazing!  Not all people will agree, but if you are a fan of YOUNG ADULT literature, as I am, then you will love it.

Belly (Isabel) has known  Conrad and Jeremiah since she was about 8-10 years old and would spend each summer at the beach at a house with her mother and brother and the boys Mom and Dad.  Over the years she has come to love Conrad who is now 18 to her almost 16 and he’s acting very strange this particular summer. Jeremiah is always there for her in whatever capacity the situation calls for. The reason for Conrad’s unusual behavior, Belly finally finds out, is his parents (who seemly are so perfect) are getting a divorce and on top of that their Mom’s cancer has come back and it’s bad. At the end of the summer Belly proclaims her love to Conrad who rebuffs her and she knows in her heart that he does care for her.

The end of the book takes place in December and Conrad calls Belly at 12:30 am and asks her to meet him at her corner. He has driven 5 1/2 hours from Boston and wants to see her. Belly has to wait until her Mom is sound asleep before she slips out. She does not leave a note.  When she gets into his car, he says “Are we really going to do this” and she says “Yes” and THAT’S IT-THE BOOK ENDS.

I could not believe it!  I had to get up and walk around while wiping tears from my eyes (it’s a tear jerker) and then I found out it’s the first book in the series.  Well, I guess I will have to make a trip to Amazon since my local library doesn’t have it.

I can’t wait to read it.

Book Description:

Published: Unknown

This story is is exclusively available (and completely free) to subscribers of Nikki’s email newsletter.

Review –

This is a short story about the sexy as hell Andre and it seems he has been called in to the IRS  to prove some of the deductions he has taken are work related.

Ms. Witherspoon  doesn’t  look up when he comes into the room and doesn’t speak to him just lets him sit and stew.  Andre gets madder by the minute because he has never been treated this way. The office is hot and he started to perspire, something he never does.

Finally, Ms. Witherspoon asks him a St. Andrew’s Cross, a kneeler, a suspension rack, a spanking horse, a whipping post and other things and Andre does his best to tell her they are related to his job as a sex counselor.  He notices that as he’s explaining, Ms. Withersppon is becoming aroused and Andre sees this as his chance so he takes her in hand as he would a new submissive and seducers her and pleasures her all the ways a man can. Afterwards, we find out the Andre and Ms. Witherspoon were role-playing in a new play room in his sex club. They agree that they, together, should try out each new room as they are added.

It is a hot, steamy story and I gave it five stars *****.

Accuse (Abuse #2) by Nikki Sex

Book Description:

Published; May 3, 2015

Isolated by the dark secrets he carries, Grant Wilkinson, the damaged and decorated war hero, has always seen himself as a monster. He’s finally getting his life on track by embracing the help he needs from Renata Koreman, the equally damaged little mouse.

André Chevalier saw Grant and Renata’s ragged edges as puzzle pieces that would fit flawlessly together. He made the right decision when he put the Monster and the Mouse together.

There’s just one problem:

Did Grant murder his father?

Review –

If I thought  ABUSE was fantastic, ACCUSE is super fantastic!

The chemistry between Grant and Renata is hot and she is so gentle with him while trying to get him to touch her or even just hold her hand. When he’s able to get passed of lot of his intimacy problems the sex they have is “set the pages on fire” hot.

In addition to the sexual aspect  of the story we also have a murder investigation going on, a child molestation coming to the surface, a cocaine addicted brother who loses custody of his son to Grant, and Renata’s panic attacks.

At the end of this book Grant finds out that along with he and his brother, Alex, there were other boys that were molested by his father and though he is being charged for his father’s murder,  he is firmly determined to find out the real killer  and bring him to justice.

Loved it!!!!!!!

Abuse (Abuse #1) by Nikki Sex

Book Description:

Published: January  13, 2015

Bonjour, my name is André Chevalier. It has been my joy and my great honor to help those who have lost their way. Not long after I began my journey, I met two such wounded souls.

Renata Koreman, my little mouse. She came to me as a child—shy, mute, injured… broken. It took oh-so many years to start to bring her back to herself! Yet, I could not fully heal her.

Years later, Grant Wilkinson, he too fell into my hands. The ex-Army Ranger was badly disfigured and saw himself as a monster. Isolated by secrets, solitary and self-contained, his colleagues affectionately named him ‘Frosty.’ Yet, how should one behave when besieged by a lifetime of confusion and guilt?

The moment I saw him, I thought of her and I wondered. The eye, they cannot always see clearly. And the heart? Ah, the heart can only guess at the truth. So it was that I remained uncertain.

Could the mouse and the monster heal each other?

Review –

I will read any book or story that has Andre Chevalier in it because he is a hot,dominant,good-looking Frenchman, who exudes sexual sensuality and knows everything there is to know about pleasing a woman.

In this book he is helping an ex-military man, Grant, who is badly scarred and was molested by his father as a child and has never been intimate with any woman other than a prostitute. The Monster. There is also Renate, who came to Andre as an 17-year-old who had been living on the street, who had also had a bad experience with her father and had seen her mother and little brother beaten to death by him in front of her. The Mouse.  She is now a sexual surrogate and Andre thinks the two can help each other. Fantastic.

Also, previously in the story, Grant’s father had died at his own birthday party but now it is suspected to be murder and Grant is number on the suspect list.

I loved it. Simply Fantastic!!!!!!!

Book Description:

Published: February 18, 2015
Fort Charles has a reputation for sin. All her life Rebecca’s heard the rumors that the cowboys there made a custom of sharing one woman between two men…and now she’s about to find out the truth.

Abandoned by her fundamentalist Mormon father for refusing to marry her sister’s husband, Rebecca has no choice but to work as a cook for ranch owner Carl Lawson and his fiery right-hand man Jamie Briggs.

Beautiful, voluptuous Rebecca is intent on preserving her virtue but can’t seem to resist the pull of the rough, masculine duo…or the wicked traditions of Fort Charles.

Review –

This was so short it should be against the law and I didn’t like the plot and couldn’t wait to get to the end.  Though there are three more in the series, I will not be reading them.

Honey, Baby, Sweetheart by Deb Caletti

Book Description:

Published: August 30, 2005

I’m not usually a reckless person. What happened the summer of my junior year was not about recklessness. It was about the way a moment, a single moment, can change things and make you decide to try to be someone different.Ruby McQueen is a sixteen-year-old high school student with the name, she thinks, of a rodeo cowgirl porn star, or, maybe worse, a Texas beauty queen runner-up. Her mother, Ann, one of the town librarians, was reading too much Southern literature before Ruby was born, and Chip, Ruby’s father, who was already dreaming of Nashville stardom, thought it would make a great stage name someday. Soon after Chip Jr. was born, Chip left to try his luck in the music business and ended up at the Gold Nugget Amusement Park one state over. He returns occasionally for visits that turn Ann’s heart upside down, and Ruby’s stomach inside out.It is summer in the northwest town of Nine Mile Falls, a place where brown bears sometimes show up in the shopping mall and people in hang gliders soar down the mountains and sometimes get stuck dangling from the trees. Ruby, ordinarily dubbed The Quiet Girl, finds herself hanging out with gorgeous, rich, thrill-seeking Travis Becker. With Travis, Ruby can be someone she’s never been before: Fearless. Powerful. But Ruby is in over her head, and finds she is risking more and more when she’s with him.

In an effort to keep Ruby occupied and mend her own broken heart, Ann drags Ruby to the weekly book club she runs for seniors. At first Ruby can’t imagine a more boring way to spend an afternoon, but she is soon charmed by the Casserole Queens (named, quite ironically, after women who bring casseroles to new widowers’ homes in hopes of snagging a husband). When the group discovers one of their own members is the subject of the tragic love story they are reading, Ann and Ruby ditch their respective obsessions to spearhead a reunion between the long-ago lovers. But this mission turns out to be more than just a road trip. Somewhere along the way Ruby and her mother learn the true meaning of love and freedom from it, individual purpose, and the real ties that bind.

This lyrical, multi-generational story of love, loss, and redemption speaks to everyone who has ever been in love — and lived to tell the tale.

Review –

I’m sorry, but I hated it. It was boring and I had to MAKE myself finish it.  Don’t waste your time.

The Sect by Courtney Lane

Book Description:

Published: December 11, 2014

WARNING: This book contains pretty much every dark theme there is. Not recommended for those with any triggers or sensitivities to violence, dubious and/or absent consent, and deviant sexual acts.*****This is NOT a romance and it is not a story of “true love”.

Keaton Mara ran away from a life that had become a nightmare to live on the streets. While the location she now calls home is a dangerous place, she is protected by an unlikely friendship.

The streets provided her with the education she could’ve never earned from the prestigious university she attended. Regrettably, the term ‘educated fool’ becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Due to meeting a man with whom she shares a captivating chemistry with, her judgment is clouded, resulting in a fateful decision.

The consequence of trusting the prepossessing stranger results in her being stolen away to a place unknown. Her deceptive new surroundings are just as beautiful as the people who reside there. She discovers that it’s a place where the culture of sex without limits or morals is their religion.

Keaton quickly begins to realize that the beautiful scenery serves to hide a very dark truth. The seductive and enigmatic man–who lured her there–desires to save her soul. His intentions are sinister, because saving her soul is synonymous with breaking her.

Because Keaton believes her soul was brutally stolen from her many years ago, she thinks he can’t save (or destroy) something she no longer has.She…was…wrong.

Review –
First of all, I have to say that I have read other books with much darker themes than this one, but that it not to say that this one might trigger something in some people.
This is a story of a girl who left home to get away from a bad situation and hid in plain sight on the street, with a disguise and the help of an ex-military man, Jeff, who also called the streets home.
One day she is taken, although she went willingly, compound out in the middle of no-where resembling a religious compound. There she is groomed as a sex slave and her defiance gets her punished severely several times. One of the men that beats her send her mixed signals, like one days he’s all friendly and the next beats her to near death. Regardless, she has feelings for this man.
Eventually the compound is raided and several are killed but the man Keaton has come to rely on, gets away,
There are many twist and turns and the ending is not what’s expected so if you like a good mystery with a LOT of explicit sex thrown in you should try it.
