Kink (Fate #2) by Nikki Sex

Book Description

June 22, 2014
Emily Malone snuck into my life, slipped under my skin, and right into my heart. Little did I know that danger and death tagged along with her, following in her innocent wake.

I’m always in control – but not with her. Emily makes me doubt myself because she’s so important to me. Em knows nothing of the lifestyle. I know she’s submissive, but I must take it slow.

Gradually, step-by-step, I’ll teach her to enjoy my particular brand of kink, my unique darker needs. She’ll learn to love what I love. What I need.

That is if both of us live long enough to complete her training

“Kink is one of these books that grips you by the throat and takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Heart pounding scenes and an amazing story of a woman and her journey into a BDSM lifestyle.” – Kristy, Book Addict Mumma

“Kink is a visceral and yet tender love story that could only be written by the sensual pen of Nikki Sex. Darkly intoxicating and wickedly irresistible…” Autumn, Agents of Romance

Review –

In this book we are first introduced to Andre, a sexy, French sex counselor and Dominate. He appears in many other Nikki Sex books too. He helps Paul with Emily and it is “kinky”.

Review –
This book  has a great story line, one to me that is totally plausible, but it bows to the old adage,”Be careful what you wish for…”
It has steamy love scenes, a little BDSM and love and friendship.  Adult content and graphic sex.

Review –
This was my first encounter with fiction dealing with BDSM and it was an eye opener. I told myself that I wouldn’t read the others in the series but by the time I got to the end I was hooked by the story line so…

Revival by Stephen King

Book Description

November 11, 2014
A dark and electrifying novel about addiction, fanaticism, and what might exist on the other side of life.

In a small New England town, over half a century ago, a shadow falls over a small boy playing with his toy soldiers. Jamie Morton looks up to see a striking man, the new minister. Charles Jacobs, along with his beautiful wife, will transform the local church. The men and boys are all a bit in love with Mrs. Jacobs; the women and girls feel the same about Reverend Jacobs—including Jamie’s mother and beloved sister, Claire. With Jamie, the Reverend shares a deeper bond based on a secret obsession. When tragedy strikes the Jacobs family, this charismatic preacher curses God, mocks all religious belief, and is banished from the shocked town.

Jamie has demons of his own. Wed to his guitar from the age of thirteen, he plays in bands across the country, living the nomadic lifestyle of bar-band rock and roll while fleeing from his family’s horrific loss. In his mid-thirties—addicted to heroin, stranded, desperate—Jamie meets Charles Jacobs again, with profound consequences for both men. Their bond becomes a pact beyond even the Devil’s devising, and Jamie discovers that revival has many meanings.

This rich and disturbing novel spans five decades on its way to the most terrifying conclusion Stephen King has ever written. It’s a masterpiece from King, in the great American tradition of Frank Norris, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Edgar Allan Poe.

Review –
Stephen King has done it again!   I think I say this everything I read one of his new works but it’s TRUE.
This story is spooky but not in the normal “King” way but in an eerie way. There is no really no blood or guts but it still puts you on guard as to what could be on the next page. To get to the end you have to travel through 50 years of Jamie’s life and see the dramatic ups and downs it takes  and without that the ending wouldn’t be near as terrifying.
Truly loved it!

Review –
It turns out that there are several murders in this book and toward the end we find out why. I know I’ve read at least one other book in the Emma Frost Series and really enjoyed it so I knew I’d like this one too. There is a lot of action, mayhem, and murder in this story and who could ask for more?
