The List by J.A. Konrath aka Jack Kilborn

B00267T89EBook Description

Publication Date: April, 2009

THE LIST is a bit of a departure for
Konrath. It’s a technothriller about a group of ten people who each have tattoos
of numbers on the bottoms their feet, and don’t know why.

One of them, a
Chicago Homicide cop named Tom Mankowski, has had one of these strange tattoos
since birth. When he investigates a violent murder and discovers the victim also
has a tattooed number, it sets the ball rolling for an adventure of historic
proportions.

To say more would give away too much.

Like the Jack
Daniels series, THE LIST combines laugh out loud humor with serious suspense and
thrills.

Review-

Great read. Fast read.  I highly recommend.

Book Description

Publication Date: October 16, 2010
WELCOME TO THE RUSHMORE INN
The bed and breakfast was hidden in the hills of West Virginia. Wary guests wondered how it could stay in business at such a creepy, remote location. Especially with its bizarre, presidential decor and eccentric proprietor.
ONCE YOU CHECK IN…
When the event hotel for the national Iron Woman triathlon accidentally overbooked, competitor Maria was forced to stay at the Rushmore. But after checking into her room, she quickly realized she wasn’t alone. First her suitcase wasn’t where she put it. Then her cell phone was moved. Finally, she heard an odd creaking under the bed. Confusion quickly turned to fear, and fear to hysteria when she discovered the front door was barred and the windows were bricked over. There was no way out.
…YOU’LL BE DYING TO LEAVE
One year later, four new female athletes have become guests of the Inn. Will they escape the horrors within its walls? Or will they join the many others who have died there, in ways too terrible to imagine?
ENDURANCE by Jack Kilborn Are you brave enough to finish?
A Word of Warning:
Originally scheduled to be released in paperback in 2010, the publisher read the final version of the manuscript and refused to release it.
This is a disturbing, terrifying book. You may think you’re brave enough to handle it. But you’re probably not…

Okay, where to begin?  If you enjoy being scared out of your mind, this is the book for you.  It is a cross between, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes and Leatherface.,  It is NOT for the faint of heart. There is much violence and gore.  I loved it.

Book Description

Release date: July 2, 2013 | Series: Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter (Book 22)
Some zombies are raised. Others must be put down. Just ask Anita Blake. Before now, she would have considered them merely off-putting, never dangerous. Before now, she had never heard of any of them causing human beings to perish in agony. But that’s all changed. Micah’s estranged father lies dying, rotting away inside from some strange ailment that has his doctors whispering about “zombie disease.” Anita makes her living off of zombies—but these aren’t the kind she knows so well. These creatures hunt in daylight, and are as fast and strong as vampires. If they bite you, you become just like them. And round and round it goes… Where will it stop?
Even Anita Blake doesn’t know.
Review –
I liked this installment of the Anita Blake,Vampire Hunter series much much better than I did the last one. Unlike in it, Anita had a big part to play in the plot and there was not as much sex for sex sake. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy sex scenes in books but not when they happen on every other page.
I wil continue to be a fan of Laurell K. Hamilton and await the next Anita Blake book.
